چکیده

The article discusses the possibility of improving design turbine a hydraulic drilling machine for wells in very hard rocks and at considerable depths (5000–12,000 m). analysis results studies on technical technological characteristics downhole motors showed that it is impossible to ensure stable operation due limitation operating temperature, while with an increase flow rate fluid, they do not provide required power spindle shaft, cannot reach high-speed drilling. In such conditions, turbodrills significant change profile stator rotor blades reinforced support unit are most suitable. paper presents invariant mathematical model, which made possible determine optimal geometric parameters based preselected boundary conditions main performance being developed. obtained were tested by finite element method, convergence 12.5%. At same time, zones lowest highest rates identified. Additionally, this comparative TSSH-178T Neyrfor TTT 2 7/8 brands. comparison domestic turbodrill, developed shows 13-fold reduction its length 3-fold torque, provided maximum increased 1.5 times. foreign analog, there decrease 8.5 times, torque 5 6.5

Development of Drilling Technology for Deep-seated Geothermal Resources

Concept of the deep-seated geothermal resources Deep-seated geothermal resources is defined as the depth of 3000-4000m at temperature of approximately 350 degrees C. And it is considered that those deep-seated geothermal resources exist below shallow geothermal reservoirs whch already exploited. 580,000 KW. And it is indispensable to explore geothermal resources " to increase it rapidly. In Jap...

Methane contamination of drinking water accompanying gas-well drilling and hydraulic fracturing.

Directional drilling and hydraulic-fracturing technologies are dramatically increasing natural-gas extraction. In aquifers overlying the Marcellus and Utica shale formations of northeastern Pennsylvania and upstate New York, we document systematic evidence for methane contamination of drinking water associated with shale-gas extraction. In active gas-extraction areas (one or more gas wells with...

Adoptive Control of Well Drilling Systems

Control of well drilling operations poses a challenging issue to be tackled. The loss of well control could lead to the occurrence of blowout as a severe threat, involving the risk of human lives and environmental and economic consequences. Conventional proportional-integral (PI) controller is a common practice in the well control operation. The small existing margin between pore pressure and f...

Deep drilling moves ahead

Deep-water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico could resume within weeks under a policy by the US government, which has come under increasing criticism from the oil industry and politicians in the region over the impact of the drilling halt and worries from scientists that the full impact has not yet been assessed. Oil and gas exploration in the gulf’s deep waters has been stopped since May, when Ob...
